High availability enables you to ensure that important applications and services are available to users in your organization even if one of the servers that host those applications fails. Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 offers you several different strategies for ensuring that applications and services are available. The strategy that you choose depends on the nature of the application or service. In this chapter you find out how to configure and manage failover clustering and Network Load Balancing.
