It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Monitoring with Citrix® Director
Citrix Administrators and helpdesk engineers can monitor Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop sites with Citrix Director, where administrators can access the configuration logging database, or by using the site's monitor service's API, with the OData protocol.
Administrators can monitor the following:
- Historical trends
- Infrastructure
- Connection failures
- Session usage
- User sessions
- Login performance
- Load evaluation
- Machines States and Failures
Director can access the following:
- Personal vDisk data that allows for runtime monitoring showing base allocation and gives the IT helpdesk the ability to reset the Personal vDisk.
- Historical data stored in the Monitor database to access the Configuration Logging database.
