Chapter 5. Maintaining Windows 7
It’s not enough to just install Windows 7, load your programs, and configure all of the settings and backups. Windows 7 is, as I’ve already mentioned, sadly not a consumer electronics system where you can take your PC out of the box, plug it in, and have it work happily for years. It will eventually be clogged and bogged down with temporary files, discarded settings, and assorted debris that can slow down the operating system and cause program and other instabilities.
