Installing Ubuntu Cloud on your own machines is more complicated, even though the needs are the same. Much of the complexity is dealt with by Amazon when deploying on its servers. Before you start, check that you have the hardware required. At a minimum, you need two servers. One serves as a front end, and you need one or more nodes.
For the front end, or any system that runs one or more of these, the CLC, the CC, the WS3/SC, the basic requirements shown in Table 32.1 must be met.
