In the previous chapters, it was shown that many factors influence the propagation characteristics of ultrasonic waves. In this and succeeding chapters (through Chapter 10), methods of measuring and evaluating propagation characteristics are presented, demonstrating many varied and practical low-intensity applications of ultrasonic energy.
