Use Custom Duet AI Prompts in Google Docs

You can use Duet AI in Google Docs to summarize or bulletize, adjust tone, shorten or elaborate, and rephrase content. You can also provide specific custom prompts to receive more relevant and targeted responses. For example, Duet AI can be used to help customer support teams organize inquiries, generate answers, and keep support documentation up to date. This saves time, improves resolution rates, and reduces toil.

In this example, you’ll create a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document for commonly asked questions. You’ll want to start by creating a new Google Doc and entering the questions your team has gathered.

• You can do this by typing “docs.new” in the address bar of a browser window:

• If more than one stakeholder is involved in this process, adjust the sharing permissions and provide the Doc link to allow collaboration.

• Type or paste the gathered questions into the document.

Now you can generate answers:

• In the Doc, highlight the text to be used to create an FAQ and click the Help Me Write icon:

• The Duet AI pop-up will provide different options to choose from. Type “make this into an FAQ” in the action bar, as seen in the image below:
