As soon as you set up a Windows Live ID (a Hotmail email address and an Xbox 360 Live ID also qualify as Windows Live IDs), you automatically have access to Windows Live SkyDrive.

Logging into Windows Live SkyDrive
To log in to Windows Live SkyDrive:
1. Open your web browser and navigate to http://skydrive.live.com.
2. When prompted, enter your Windows Live ID and provide your password to sign in.
3. Windows Live SkyDrive opens.
