The purpose of the Driving Directions area is to provide a general map for the journey:

• What needs to be accomplished at each stage?
• Where do the pchA tools fit in?
• How do I get back on course if I get lost?1
1 It should be noted that it is beyond the scope of this book to guide people through actual behavioral change processes—for example, how to stop smoking. A few examples of behavioral change programs are referenced in Chapter 6, and more are included in the toolkit folders for information purposes. This book focuses on how pchA can support the change process.
