EDIRecordWriter Class (Extends RecordWriter)
Overview
Our analysis showed us that there were sufficient commonalities among the possible RecordReader classes for EDI to XML conversions (one derived class for each specific EDI syntax) to create a base EDIRecordReader class and put the common functionality into it. We have the same situation with the RecordWriter derived classes used to process EDI formats as the target of our conversions. So, in this class we develop some common functions for converting from XML to generic EDI segments, maintaining control information that will be used by the derived classes.
