Week 6: Price Your Product
She took large-scale photos of nature for enjoyment and to display in her own home. But when the local library asked Lynne Byrne to show her work, they needed prices. She had not even thought about selling her photographs, but friends and family loved them and wanted to purchase her work. Lynne did some research on what other artists charged for large pieces formatted on Plexiglas and factored in her costs. This helped her price her growing collection. Reaching out to local home and gift stores, Lynne was able to consign her pieces; they are selling, so she knows she’s at the right price point.
