I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Computer Basics |
Before starting to edit on the Avid, let’s take a look at the two computer systems users will encounter: Apple computers with the Mac operating system and IBM computers running the Windows NT operating system. Not all the versions of Avid software run on the same hardware; Appendix 1 lists the recent history of Avid software and the matching hardware. The following information is designed to help Avid editors who are new to Mac or Windows; it is not a definitive run-down of every feature on each operating system! Editors shouldn’t need to be computer experts but some basic knowledge is very useful.
