Basics of VR Workflow

There are two methods to capture live-action 360° footage: one is to shoot with an array of cameras facing all directions; the other is to use only one camera (or a 3D pair of cameras) and rotate to cover the whole 360° environment. The latter is called the “nodal technique.”

When shooting 360° live action, it is vital to use the exact same cameras, lens, and settings to facilitate the process of creating the final 360° sphere.
