A New Art?

Shooting in 360° is very specific and is best to use when there is a story reason. In the case of my VR series “Defrost,” we want the viewer to feel they are actually experiencing what the character is going through. This means that action can be staged anywhere around the viewer and this needs to be thought out very carefully to be sure that the staging forwards the story.

There are thousands of young film students beginning to figure out VR techniques, and I’m sure they will lead the way on the new language. They have energy and time to experiment.
