Creating Shared Projects
Shared projects are available through specific templates. To open one, select File, Add, New Project and in the New Project dialog select the Shared Project template, as shown in Figure 17.21.

Call the new project SharedObjects and click OK. When the project is ready, you can see in Solution Explorer that the project icon is different from other project types. It also has no references and, more generally, no child elements (see Figure 17.22).
