Virtual studio is a term that describes a loose collection of technologies used to achieve real-time mixing of live-action foreground elements with a chosen background—real or created inside a computer. The technology is used currently for newscasting, entertainment news shows, and children’s broadcasting. It is a way of creating much grander backgrounds than can physically be built on the budget available.
