Bonus 1. Working with Closed Captions

In previous versions of Premiere Pro, you could view closed captions in the Program Monitor and export them via third-party hardware products, but you couldn’t create or edit them or export captions with any streaming formats.

With Premiere Pro CC, you can now edit closed captions, create your own, and export them for display with virtually all output formats supported by Adobe Media Encoder. In this chapter, you’ll learn all the caption-related functionality that you can perform without third-party hardware.
