Summary, Conclusions, and Recommendations

As stated in Chapter 1, the objective of this book was to increase awareness of the importance of visuals and to provide practical recommendations on how visuals can be used and designed in a mindful manner. Specifically, our empirical analysis explored the role of visuals to enhance cognition of data in decisions and proposed forms of visualization that encourage more informed decisions.
