Preface

This report introduces you to the new features of TensorFlow 2.x. Going from 1.x to 2.x was a major stepping stone, but that broke some of the API compatibility and means you now have to migrate your code. After reading this report, you’ll be able to assess how you can benefit from the new functionality of TensorFlow and if it is worth it to upgrade to the latest version.

This report mainly addresses people who are at least a bit familiar with TensorFlow 1.x, but if you are not, please have a look at Chapter 1. Each additional chapter is dedicated to a new TensorFlow feature that was either newly introduced in the 2.x release or had significant additions worth covering.
