Chapter 30. Deploying Terminal Services
Microsoft Windows Terminal Services was introduced for Microsoft Windows NT 4 Server with the separate Terminal Server Edition. However, starting with Windows 2000, and continuing in Windows Server 2008, it is a fully integrated part of all Windows servers, at least in the Remote Desktop for Administration mode, equivalent to what was called Remote Administration Mode in Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server. It’s also a part of Windows XP Professional and most editions of Windows Vista in a single-user mode, where it is called Remote Desktop.
