I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter Six. Photographing Places
Photographing the so-called spirit of a place is, at the best of times, a bit of a tall order. For one thing, there is probably not one single spirit that defines any given place, so trying to capture it is presumptuous at best. For another, places—like people—change with time and season. I am not the same person I was last year, and my mood changes daily. The same goes for places. The New York you experience in December will be different from the New York you experience in August.
