It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 4. Working with the XSP Client Side JavaScript Object
All XPages applications execute within a J2EE-compliant web container and are rendered to the end user via a web browser. This is an example of a classic client/server application architecture, where everything that executes within the web application container is server side, while everything that displays and executes within the web browser container is client side.
