Dealing with errors is an inseparable part of the data-cleaning process, and Power Query provides several functions to handle them. Errors in Power Query can be categorized into two groups: step-level errors and cell-level errors.

A common cause of step-level errors is referencing a column, table, data source or a query that does not exist. For example, consider the Source table in Table 11-1.
