I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Foreword
Although my 14 years in the technology industry are a drop in the ocean for some, I joined at the perfect time to see the rise of Salesforce and the huge wave of digital transformation projects.
The SaaS and business technology landscape for the past 25 years or so has been built on the principle that software should be easier to use and to access. This way of working, switching from servers to the cloud, defined the market landscape as we know it today.
That was until ChatGPT came along at the tail end of 2022, breaking records to be the fastest app to reach 100 million users, just two months after it was launched.
Since that fateful day, it’s almost like the world's been turned upside down.
