Abstract
Cyber-physical systems are becoming indispensible part of human life day by day. With each passing year, as technological innovations are emerging, the application of artificial intelligence to leverage the functionality and usability of cyber-physical systems is also increasing. In this chapter, we present the novel privacy issues caused by advent of AI techniques in a cyberphysical system ecosystem and then we proceed to discuss the measures to mitigate such issues. We will also bring forth the state-of-the-art in privacy techniques, which are currently employed in cyber-physical systems. We propose an approach were formal methods of reasoning, learning, planning, and processing will be used in conjunction with privacy aspects so as to develop a trustable framework. This robust framework can be deployed for enhancing the degree of privacy preservation without affecting the data utility of any cyber-physical entity.
