I became a photographer because I was in a major slump. I was wrestling with some significant identity and health issues, and I was losing my grip. Then, suddenly, my father gave me a camera. And that camera was my ticket to a new life.
By holding the camera up to my eye, the world no longer revolved in the same way. My own pain and sorrows drifted away. The camera slowed time down and taught me about the value of life. Soon it became a passport to a whole new way to live.
