I can recall sitting in photography class when I was a teenager and having that “lightbulb” moment when I understood photography; aperture and shutter speed were no longer a mystery, and I could create a beautiful photograph just with some film and a chemical-filled darkroom. Years later, I can remember dusting off my camera and eventually learning to “see” light. An entirely new world had just been revealed to me, and it was that moment that I became a photographer.
