It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Accessing video data
You can use the BitmapData.draw() method to capture the pixel data of the current frame of a video.
There are two different kinds of video:
• RTMP video
• Progressive video, which is loaded from an FLV file without an RTMP server
You cannot use the
BitmapData.draw() method to access RTMP video.
When you call the
BitmapData.draw() method with progressive video as the source parameter, the caller of
BitmapData.draw() must either be from the same sandbox as the FLV fi
