This appendix represents a brief introduction to MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory). MATLAB is a programming medium for plotting functions, data analysis, matrix manipulation and visualization, and numerical computation. Using MATLAB, you can solve technical computing problems more quickly than is possible with traditional programming tools. MATLAB is used for a wide variety of applications, such as image processing, communications, design, testing and measurement, and financial modeling and analysis.
