I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 9. Quick Parts
Quick Parts are the evolution of AutoText, a new way to work with fields, and a new way to create template content. Then again, they’re really so much more than that.
Quick Parts—in particular, the elements of Quick Parts called Building Blocks—are a new approach to generating documents. Wherever you see a gallery on the Ribbon with the option to insert preformatted sets of content—such as the Cover Page, Header, Footer, or Table Of Contents galleries—those are Building Blocks.
