Introduction
In January 1993, the Company of Science and Art (CoSA) shipped the first version of After Effects – and the video and film industries haven’t been the same since. Suddenly, an artist working on a personal computer could produce realistic visual effects and fanciful motion graphics that rivaled those produced on dedicated machines costing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. We were happy to be one of those very first users; it allowed us to start our own successful motion graphics company, CyberMotion.
