About the Author
Pam Baker is an award-winning journalist, author, and instructor specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. She teaches widely attended AI courses on LinkedIn Learning and is the bestselling author of Generative AI For Dummies and ChatGPT For Dummies (1st and 2nd editions). Her additional works include Decision Intelligence For Dummies (Wiley) and Data Divination: Big Data Strategies (Cengage), among other titles exploring the business and societal impact of advanced technologies.
Her reporting and analysis have appeared in leading outlets such as Institutional Investor, Ars Technica, CIO, CISO, InformationWeek, CNN, PC Magazine, TechTarget, and Dark Reading. Baker covers breaking news as a stringer for The New York Times. She’s also a sought-after speaker at science and technology conferences; her presentation on mobile health data and analytics was published in the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences.
Earlier in her career, Baker conducted research and analysis for firms including ABI Research, VisionGain, and Evans Research.
