I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Author
Joseph H. Ellis is an Advisory Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York City. Born in Watertown, New York in 1942, Mr. Ellis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in 1964 and also attended Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He headed the Retail Research Group in the Investment Research Department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1970 to 1994, was named a General Partner of Goldman Sachs in 1986, and became a Limited Partner in 1994. During his tenure as Goldman Sachs’ senior retail-industry analyst, Mr. Ellis was cited by Institutional Investor Magazine as the first-ranked retail investment analyst on Wall Street for eighteen consecutive years.
