Executives must recognize the importance of aligning analytics with key processes as well as institutionalizing cultural and organizational shifts. Implementing AI and advanced analytics in their organization is a requirement to improve operating performance, stay competitive, serve customers, and satisfy stakeholder expectations.

In a recent McKinsey global survey on digital transformation, “eight out of every 10 respondents said their organizations have embarked on a digital transformation journey in the last five years. That is promising news. However, only one third of these initiatives have succeeded. For such organizations, the digital transformation journey remains elusive.”2

According to McKinsey, this can be solved by looking “outside” when evaluating “people, process, data, and technologies.” But companies will not succeed if they view these components separately rather than being integrated and aligned as expressed in the Roadmap.

In building the Analytics Culture, leadership cannot be outsourced to consultants, as no matter how experienced, they are not part of the corporate legacy and are not accountable for the business strategy.
