In the context of smart cities and smart world systems, communication algorithms play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and reliable data transfer among interconnected devices and sensors. Error detection and correction algorithms, such as cyclic redundancy check (CRC) and Hamming code, maintain data integrity across vast networks. Routing algorithms like distance vector, link state routing, and ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) optimize data paths in dynamic environments, ensuring real-time responsiveness. Flow control algorithms, including stop-and-wait and sliding window, regulate data flow to prevent congestion, thereby enabling seamless interaction and coordination among various smart city components. These algorithms collectively enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of smart city infrastructures, supporting advanced applications like traffic management, environmental monitoring, and public safety systems.
