I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ray Russell FCMA, FCIS, MSI, certpfs, ACOI is the Principal of GCR Management Services, a consultancy and training organisation he founded in 1988 to provide informed, personalised and practical advisory and training services to investment businesses and professional bodies.
His experience includes 20+ years in senior positions with prominent British and American investment banks and 10 years as a director of a UK fund management and administration group of companies. He has served on the Investment Management Association's (IMA, formerly AUTIF) Executive, Regulations, Audit and Training Committees and is chair of its Collective Investment Schemes Technical Discussion Group and of the Securities & Investment Institute's Qualifications Assessment Board for its Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ).
