So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Die Schaltzentrale Arduino empfängt Daten, wertet Informationen aus und sendet Signale an die angeschlossenen Aktoren. Analoge und digitale Informationen werden im Arduino eingelesen und ausgewertet. Soeben ist die Hauskatze am Katzentürchen aufgetaucht und der RFID-Reader hat die Information am Halsband der Katze erkannt und gibt das Okay an den Servo. Die Katzenklappe geht auf.
Im Wohnzimmer meldet der Drucksensor, dass eine Person über die Türschwelle getreten ist und die Beleuchtung wird langsam eingeschaltet.
Wird der Arduino als Datenlogger oder Messwerterfassungssystem genutzt, werden Daten gesammelt. Diese Daten werden meist auf einer Anzeige ausgegeben, beispielsweise ein Temperaturwert, ein Abstandswert ...
