A.1 Introduction

Code Composer Studio (CCS) is freely available from http://www.ti.com and provides a development environment for all of Texas Instruments’ ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers, e.g., Sitara™, Hercules™, and Tiva™. Very inexpensive development platforms and evaluation modules (EVMs) can be found from distributors, so getting a real Cortex-M4 running code takes relatively little effort.
