I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding test questions for the load test
Let's carry out the following steps to add lots of questions to our database. This will allow us to see the impact of data paging:
- Let's open SQL Server Management Studio, right-click on the QandA database in Object Explorer, and choose New Query.
- In the query window that opens, add the following command:
EXEC Question_AddForLoadTest
This will execute a stored procedure that will add 10,000 questions to our database.
- Press F5 to run the stored procedure, which will take a few seconds to complete.
Now that we have our questions in place, let's test out the current implementation.
