This chapter covers the following subjects:

• Fundamental Network Services: Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is the main networking component of AWS. VPC is made up of many important parts, and we examine the most important of them in this section of the chapter.

• Other Network Services: In this section of the chapter, we detail the important Route 53 and CloudFront services. While there are many other networking services we could cover here, we cover many of them in other chapters. (For example, we discuss security groups and NACLs in Chapter 10, “Components and Resources for Security.”)
