Chapter 3. Configuring Your Development Environment
Setting up the development environment for your application is an important milestone to complete before you start coding. Developing a Flex and Java Enterprise application requires setting up a number of tools in order to write, test, and debug Java, AS, and MXML code; create and test SQL queries and other database objects; share source code with other member of the team using a source control server; and share artifact and JAR libraries among different projects and teams using repositories and building tools.
In this chapter I will show you the tools we need and how to install them in order to start the Flex and Java Enterprise development.
