Flex is a framework for building rich internet applications (RIAs) for FlashPlayer 9 and 10. Flex is a tool for developers rather than designers, and its aim is to provide the developer with classes and components to organize, handle, and present data, and to provide the functionality for creating desktop-like applications that are typically delivered via Web browser plug-ins such as Flash Player or Silverlight.
