In this chapter, you’ll learn how to create a basic app that connects to data. It’s simple to build this type of app because we can point PowerApps at a data source and tell it to generate an app for us. Because PowerApps carries out all the hard work, the challenge is to understand the app that PowerApps builds. This is important because the knowledge enables us to further enhance and develop such ‘auto-generated’ apps. To demonstrate this process, we’ll develop an app that connects to an Excel spreadsheet.
