When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
The reader learned that data must be stored in a different format in order for analytics to efficiently run, and that this format differs from how data is typically stored in a database. In addition, the reader learned how to make data using SAS statements, as well as how to bring external data into the SAS environment.
The reader should now understand that a SAS library is a pointer to where data is stored, whether the data is stored as a SAS dataset or in some other data storage format such as a database. The reader wrote and executed their first SAS programs, making use of both data step statements and a few BASE SAS procedures.
