About the Research Team

Peter Begalla is conference chairman for Family Business magazine and Directors & Boards magazine; a consultant to multigenerational family enterprises; and a past lecturer in Family Business at Stetson University. As conference chairman, he brings together multigenerational family enterprises so they can share their stories, learn from one another, and develop practices that will sustain the family enterprise for generations. Other conferences include Private Company Governance Summit, Family Business Generational Wealth, and Character of the Corporation.

As a past lecturer in Family Business at Stetson University for over thirteen years, Peter helped hundreds of college-aged students establish a strong knowledge and skill set to successfully navigate the complex world of family enterprises. Classes included “Managerial Issues in Family Business: Harnessing the Strategic Value of Family” and “Personal and Professional Leadership Development in the Family Business.” As a consultant Peter works directly with family enterprises on family governance, leadership succession, family dynamics, and next-gen development. Each engagement is tailored to the needs of the family and often includes multiple approaches such as strategic planning, meeting facilitation, multistep consultations, and custom workshops.
