5 Starting Your Data Migration Project

The first step when building agentic applications is finding and categorizing the data that is valuable to the application, and then migrating that data to a vector database. This is done using a workflow that first chunks the data, then creates embeddings from those chunks, and finally stores them in the vector database.

When using an LLM in our daily lives through mobile apps or browser interfaces such as ChatGPT, Grok, or Gemini, we are often content entering only text. But the real benefit in the enterprise comes when you include additional texts and images with the prompts. This allows the LLM to consider the uploaded data in its response.
