Part II. Tools, Technologies, and Frameworks
There are many different data integration tools, and they include everything from freely accessible programming scripts to comprehensive proprietary platforms and à la carte cloud services. In this part, we’ll discuss some of the common features and options of the technologies used in data integrations, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Also, this part is not meant to be read end-to-end but as a reference of potential technologies to employ during the implementation of a data integration solution, so feel free to skip around.
Note
I do not have hands-on experience with all of the individual tools and technologies discussed in this part. I have, therefore, occasionally relied on vendor websites to validate that certain capabilities exist for a given tool. I made a significant effort to include accurate information, but always do your due diligence and research a tool prior to use, especially if you’re paying for it.
