THE AUTHORS OF THIS BOOK DEEPLY BELIEVE in the promise of Web services and are optimistic about their future. We believe that the combination of standards and technologies described so far in the book enables tremendous advances in distributed computing and systems integration. Yet we’re realists, and we know that we’re just at the dawn of the Web services revolution. Much work remains to be done.
