Chapter 2
Crafting Your First Design in Canva
IN THIS CHAPTER
Finding a template for your Canva project
Changing layout and styles by using templates
Adding graphic elements and customizing text
Including your own media elements
In Chapter 1, I start you on the path to creating a resume by clicking the Create a Design button on the homepage. However, those instructions take you only to the point where you can select a resume template, and your Canva editor is still blank.
In this chapter, I show you how to get to the same place but by using the search bar on the homepage. I then guide you from the blank resume document, through choosing a resume design, and creating a useful resume that you can use to show off your newfound Canva skills!
Choosing the Right Template
Ready to show off your Canva skills to future employers? To begin, navigate to the homepage and choose a template that matches the theme and purpose of your project. In this example, I lead you through building a resume.
