LET’S FACE IT

Cartoon faces are the most important element of character design, as the features that make up that face convey your character’s personality! For example, heavy-lidded eyes; a weak chin; goofy, protruding ears; and a wide, toothy smile are all telling signs of a character’s mood and manner. Practice drawing variations of each feature—draw tall eyes and small eyes, round ears and pointy ears, thin lips and fat lips, bulbous noses and broken noses. And don’t forget to accessorize!
