Chapter 7. Testing Failover on CentOS 6

In previous chapters, you learned how to install and configure a cluster software stack on CentOS 6, and also how to configure and manage cluster nodes and cluster resources. In this chapter, you will test the cluster configuration by manually triggering cluster node failure and making sure that the migration of configured resources to an existing, healthy node is successful.

Note that you should run as many tests as possible with different sorts of scenarios before deploying your cluster on the production environment. In this way, you can make sure that the cluster configuration is correct and avoid cluster service downtime.
